UD in the News Aug. 19-25

Media highlighted the University's efforts to make a University of Dayton education more accessible and affordable, students who will be listed on a patent, and engineering expertise in autonomous vehicles the week of Aug. 19-25.

Dayton TV stations WDTN and ABC 22/Fox 45 had President Eric F. Spina and Julia Thompson in strategic enrollment management, respectively, on to discuss the UD Sinclair Academy. The academy helps remove financial barriers to a University of Dayton degree for Sinclair Community College students. On top of need-based grants, students can receive up to $17,000 in scholarships for their junior and senior years and up to $500 per semester in textbook scholarships.

For graduate students, WHIO-TV in Dayton featured a University partnership with 2U that's expanding to offer online graduate degrees in the School of Education and Health Sciences.

The American Society for Engineering Education's daily newsletter featured local coverage of engineering students being listed on a patent with international food services company Hobart.

Other media attention focused on the University's strategic areas of autonomous vehicles and human rights.
