The American Talent Initiative — a national coalition of top colleges and universities working toward a collective goal of enrolling and graduating 50,000 additional talented, low- or moderate-income students by 2025 — headlined its first newsletter with a Q&A interview with University of Dayton President Eric F. Spina.

Insight into Diversity highlighted the University's events to mark the 50th anniversary of the assassination of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National and regional television stories featured the work of students in the School of Engineering's Innovation Center on a new device to help a blind veteran run freely on a treadmill.

University faculty shared their expertise on politics, business and news with Canada's most-watched network, a leading journalism website and a personal finance outlet.

And local news outlets profiled the Davis Center for Portfolio Management, which allows undergraduates to manage a $30 million slice of the University's endowment, and covered a sumo bot tournament that showed "science can be cool and fun" at the annual Stander Symposium.
