College of Arts and Sciences

O'Reilly Hall 100

Our faculty, and the administration as a whole, believe that liberal learning is essential not only for the education of our students, but for the enhancement of responsible, engaged, and worthwhile living. Students are taught to reason and to communicate clearly, to think analytically and critically, and to examine what they have learned in global, societal, and individual perspectives. Through numerous programs offered by academic departments, programs and centers, the College encourages and promotes service learning in diverse ways.

As the largest academic unit at UD, we offer more than 50 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. In all of the programs offered, a service learning component is an option many of our students choose.
