Multicultural Leadership Institute

Multicultural Leadership Institute

The Multicultural Leadership Institute (MLI) is a leadership program for the executive board members of multicultural student groups.  MLI includes a leadership development orientation, community building activities, and a leadership assessment.  This program builds off of the Transitions Program for new students, but for returning students.

The mission of the Multicultural Leadership Institute is to empower and equip multicultural students to be effective leaders in the University of Dayton community and beyond through implementing Marianist values in ethical leadership.

Students will participate in a day leadership intensive that will focus on the further formation of leadership skills, creating a planning foundation for the academic year, and connecting students with community leaders.

The true leader serves.  Serves people.  Serves their best interests, and in so doing will not always be popular, may not always impress.  But because true leaders are motivated by loving concern rather than a desire for personal glory, they are willing to pay the price. - Eugene B.
