If you or someone you know are in crisis.

During Business Hours

If you are in immediate and life-threatening psychological crisis, please call Public Safety (937-229-2121), 911 or present to the nearest emergency room.

If you find yourself in a non-life-threatening psychological crisis, you may call the Counseling Center (937-229-3141) for crisis intervention during our business hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is a therapist assigned to provide crisis intervention during specific hours on a daily basis. We are generally able to return calls by the end of the business day. We do not have walk-in hours so we are able to intervene most effectively when a call is made, allowing us to assess the situation appropriately.

Crisis intervention services are intended for those students who are in severe distress and who are in life-threatening/life-altering situations. Students who can wait are urged to call and make an intake appointment so that those in crisis can be served promptly.

If the situation is so critical that it cannot wait until a therapist is able to call you back, please do one or more of the following:

  • Contact your R.A. or Fellow

  • Call Public Safety at 937-229-2121 (from cell and non-campus phones)

  • Call 911 (from campus phones)

  • Go to the nearest emergency room

  • Call Crisis Care at 937-224-4646

After Business Hours, and on Weekends
