Outreach Programming

Outreach Programming is a service provided by the Counseling Center in order to promote the health and well-being of the larger university community. Our staff is available to deliver lectures, workshops, and other programming to your class, group, or campus organization. We offer a wide variety of topics, and we are always expanding the list of topics we cover. In addition to recognition and prevention programming for students, the Counseling Center provides consultation and training in a variety of areas to faculty and staff. We are also available for general outreach at events such as health fairs or other campus events.

What topics are offered?

The Counseling Center is willing to provide a variety of workshops and outreach programs including (but not limited to):

  • Test anxiety
  • Strategies for coping with a roommate/friend's eating concerns
  • MBTI group interpretations
  • Assertiveness
  • Decision-making
  • Procrastination
  • Stress management
  • Mindfulness

Our current offerings are posted on the campus calendar in Porches.

How Do I Request Outreach Programming?

Due to the many responsibilities of UD staff and the large request for services, we request a minimum of ten audience members at each function. Requests received at least one month in advance with at least three possible dates have a greater likelihood of being accommodated. Requests can be made up to one year in advance. Outreach Programming is generally scheduled Monday through Friday. We are able to accommodate events outside of this time on a case-by-case basis.

If you would like to request any of the outreach services provided by the Counseling Center, please fill out the Outreach Request Form
