Scheduling And Events

Information CenterThis position requires students to field all incoming calls to the University and assist callers with various questions and/or directing them to the correct department/person. Students must possess a general knowledge of the University in order to provide adequate guidance to customers both over the phone and in person. Exceptional customer service skills are a must in order to fulfill this position. 

Student Office Receptionist - This position requires students to represent the Center for Student Involvement as the main reception desk for walk in customers, as well as the main phone line for incoming office calls. Students direct phone calls to full-time staff while booking campus spaces for events and meetings. Receptionist duties include general office responsibilities, including filing, organizing, and reviewing reservations.

Hangar Games Room

Hangar Games RoomHangar Associates oversee and monitor the bowling lanes, billiard tables, video games, and lounge area and and work as a team to instill a fun, energetic atmosphere where customers can have fun in a safe and positive environment. Associates provide assistance to patrons and assist management with tasks pertaining to the overall welfare of the Hangar Games Room such as operating and maintaining bowling and billiards equipment, operating the cash register and other equipment as needed.

Operations

Operations Assistant - Operations Assistants are responsible for the daily operations of the facility. Under the direction of the Operations Student Managers, employees setup and teardown furniture and equipment for events as well as provide exceptional customer service.

Operations Student Manager - Operations Student Managers are responsible for maintaining the highest level of customer service through event management, employee supervision, and collaboration with the Center for Student Involvement department staff. Student Managers represent the Center for Student Involvement to all customers and visitors through leadership, service, and professionalism.  Past experience in operations or facilities is highly encouraged.  

Boll Theatre

Boll Theatre Stagehand - The Boll Theatre Stagehands prepare and operate audio, lighting, video, and scenery for all university events and productions in Boll Theatre. Stagehands are responsible for creating and designing lighting and audio environments and will have opportunities to be house managers, designers, and stage managers. The Stagehands play a valuable role in the creative life of the University of Dayton. Under the management of the Center for Student Involvement, this position offers unique experiential learning opportunities that can support any field of study.

Boll Theatre Student Technical Coordinator - The Boll Theatre Student Technical Coordinator is an extension of the Boll Theatre Stagehand position. The Boll Theatre Student Technical Coordinator schedules and manages the student crew for shop hours, events, productions, and maintenance in Boll Theatre. Under the management of the Center for Student Involvement, this position offers unique experiential learning opportunities that can support any field of study.

Digital Communications

Digital Communications & Marketing Manager - This student is responsible for management of student activities on the campus calendar, content creation and management for the KU digital signage, and social media management for CSI.

Web Design & Information Manager - This student is responsible for maintenance of the CSI website, assists student organizations in designing and maintaining websites, and manages the University general email box. 

Student Leadership Programs

Student Leadership Ambassadors - Student Leadership Ambassadors (SLA) is a paid leadership development experience.  This position requires students to represent Student Leadership Programs as the main reception desk in Kennedy Union 206 for walk in customers, as well as the main phone line for incoming office calls.  During regular office hours, students will engage in a leadership development self-study curriculum as well as weekly or bi-weekly team development with other SLAs.  Upon completion of the first round of training, students will begin to craft and implement trainings for individual student organization executive officers, student organizations leadership and general membership, Leadership in Service Scholarship recipients, and the general student body through PATH-eligible programming.
