Chapel of the Immaculate Conception Open House (No registration is required)

The Chapel of the Immaculate Conception is open from 7am to 2pm. Self-guided tour books are available. Please stop in for a moment of reflection or to see our beautiful newly renovated worship space.

Family Weekend Information Center & Merchandise Pick-Up Open

Check-in for Family Weekend is not required. Family Weekend merchandise can only be picked up during these hours. New Student Programs Staff will be available to answer questions.  Limited amounts of merchandise for sale can be purchased with cash or checks (made payable to "University of Dayton").

Link Bike (No registration required)

Test ride a Link Bike and learn why using bike share is the quickest and easiest way to connect to area restaurants and attractions! Students can also learn about the discount they can receive on their annual membership! We will be offering free day passes to the first 50 people to stop by!

Family Weekend Great Escape Game (Pre-registration and prepayment required)

Check-in at 9 AM.  Games being promptly at 9:15 AM - Bank Vault, Outbreak, Tomb, Area D, Prison Break, and Western Saloon  8 slots per room.

RecPlex Open Hours
9:00 AM - 10:00 PM  RecPlex
UD Families have the opportunity to get active free of charge during Family Weekend through use of the RecPlex facility for open recreation! Minors must be accompanied by an adult, waivers must be signed at check-in, must have drivers license present for access.

RecBike Rentals
9:00 AM - 10:00 PM  Equipment Resource Center, RecPlex
Take a ride around the neighborhood or hit the trails with our RecBikes! Must be a member to rent the bikes, however a member can rent more than one at a time. All participants must sign a waiver at the time of check-out. Free to rent and must be back before sundown. All bikes come with a helmet and bike lock.

Body Blast (Pre-registration required)

This total body workout burns fat and builds muscles using various methods of cardio and strength training.  Be prepared for a high-intensity and fast-paced workout!
 
Barre (Pre-registration required)
9:00 - 9:50 AM  Studio B, RecPlex
Barre workouts help to create a uniquely lean, firm, and sculpted body by combining isometric contractions, dance conditioning, yoga, and Pilates. This head-to-toe workout fuses together cardio and barre-sculpting movements in order to boost the heart-rate, target specific areas, and create long, lean, toned muscles - all in 50 minutes! Light weights may be incorporated.  No dance experience is necessary.

Alpha Phi Alpha Student Round Table (Pre-registration required)

Alumni members of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will host a roundtable discussion with current UD students.  From networking to mentorship, current students will share opportunities for alumni to provide support.

Flow through this dynamic class at your own pace, building strength and reaching deep into your flexibility as you challenge yourself in this flowing and powerful practice.  This class will help build strength, aid in balance, reduce stress, and increase vitality while connecting movement with breath.  Open to all levels!  Yoga mats provided.

Zumba is an aerobic dance fitness party featuring sizzling Latin and world rhythms combined with catchy pop songs and easy-to-follow moves. This session will explore the resources of the Office of Career Services and discuss how parents and other family members can support students who are making decisions related to their major, internship options and career opportunities.

This workshop, co-presented by General Electric, Career Services, and Engineering Cooperative Education, will educate families about work experiences during college, the employment process, the availability of cooperative education and internship experiences, and the importance of being open to new experiences and diverse geographic destinations.

Biz Ready Certificate Program (Pre-registration required)

Attendees will learn about the Biz Ready Certificate Program for non-business majors.  All organizations exhibit, at least in part, characteristics of business concerns.  Biz Ready provides the opportunity for non-business students to gain a leg up on the competition in their chosen job markets.  Coverage will include Biz Ready Program schedules, costs, application procedures, other details, Q & A.

Black Alumni Reunion - Walking Campus Tour (No registration required)

Looking for a great off-campus family activity?  Visit the Dayton Art Institute, one of the region's premier fine arts museums.  Passes are free this weekend and one pass is good for 4 people.  UD students have free year-round membership.  Details on their permanent collection and special exhibits are online at http://www.daytonartinstitute.org/.

Football tickets ($10 for adults, $5 for youth (18 and under); UD students get in free) are available online at DaytonFlyers.com, over the phone at (937) 229-4433, or in person at the UD Arena ProSource Ticket Office Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. We accept cash, credit/debit, or check for advanced ticket sales. On the day of the game, tickets will be available for purchase at Welcome Stadium. All sales on day of game are cash only.

Painting with Parents hosted by Pinot's Palette (Pre-registration and prepayment required)

Statues of Mary Tour (Pre-registration required)
1:30 - 3:00 PM  Lobby, Roesch Library
Each memorial tells a story of the past and present of UD. This tour includes a treasure hunt with a focus on younger siblings. In the event of inclement weather, the tour will focus on Mary statues and the Mirror of Hope, meet in the library lobby.

Black Alumni Reunion Cookout (Pre-registration required)

Family Fun Hunt! (Pre-registration and prepayment required)

Families will receive a list of hints and locations around campus and will be given an hour to go to each location, play a minute to win it game, and get a stamp showing they were there.  The winning family will receive a gift card to a restaurant on Brown Street!  The hunt will begin in the Humanities Plaza outside the J.P. Humanities building where non-alcoholic drinks and finger-foods will be provided.  The event ends at the RecPlex. This event is hosted by UD Miracle, a nationally recognized organization that is dedicated to raising money and awareness for Dayton Children's Hospital through Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. $5 per person (max of $20 fee per family [not inclusive of Ticket Fees], i.e. families of 6 will only pay $20)
 
Future Flyers Night Out (Pre-registration and prepayment required)

Campus Recreation is excited to provide Future Flyers, ages 6-12, with an evening of recreational fun to include games, rock climbing, and more.
