Chapel of the Immaculate Conception Open House (No registration is required)

The Chapel of the Immaculate Conception is open from 7am to 2pm. Self-guided tour books are available. Please stop in for a moment of reflection or to see our beautiful newly renovated worship space.

Family Weekend Information Center & Merchandise Pick-Up Open (No registration is required)
8:00 AM - 12:00 PM  Gosiger Hall, Room 131
Check-in for Family Weekend is not required. Family Weekend merchandise can only be picked up during these hours. New Student Programs Staff will be available to answer questions.  Limited amounts of merchandise for sale can be purchased with cash or checks (made payable to "University of Dayton").
 
Thomas J. Frericks 5K Run/Walk Packet Pick-up (Pre-registration and prepayment required)

Link Bike (No registration required)
8:30 AM - 12:00 PM  RecPlex Link Bike Station
Test ride a Link Bike and learn why using bike share is the quickest and easiest way to connect to area restaurants and attractions! Students can also learn about the discount they can receive on their annual membership! We will be offering free day passes to the first 50 people to stop by!

Family Weekend Great Escape Game (Pre-registration and prepayment required)

Includes arrival 15 minutes early for check-in. Bank Vault (9:15 - 10:45 AM), Outbreak (9:00 - 10:30 AM), Tomb (8:45 - 10:15 AM), Area D (8:45 - 10:15 AM), Prison Break (9:15 - 10:45 AM), and Western Saloon (9:00 - 10:30 AM). 8-10 slots per room. $25.99 per person

RecPlex Open Hours (No registration required)

UD Families have the opportunity to get active free of charge during Family Weekend through use of the RecPlex facility for open recreation! Minors must be accompanied by an adult, waivers must be signed at check-in, must have drivers license present for access.

RecBike Rentals (No registration required)
9:00 AM - 10:00 PM RecPlex, Equipment Resource Center
Take a ride around the neighborhood or hit the trails with our RecBikes! Must be a member to rent the bikes, however a member can rent more than one at a time. All participants must sign a waiver at the time of check-out. Free to rent and must be back before sundown. All bikes come with a helmet and bike lock.

Spinning (Pre-registration required)
9:00 - 9:50 AM  RecPlex, Studio A
Spinning® provides a fun and challenging cardiovascular workout for a variety of fitness levels - you control your resistance and speed. Hills, sprints and endurance intervals are all part of this class with energizing music and motivational instruction. Classes are coed and for ages 16 and older.

Rain or shine. Register during pick-up times. All participants must be registered prior to the start of the race.

Power Yoga (Pre-registration required)
10:00 - 10:50 AM  RecPlex, Studio A
Flow through this dynamic class at your own pace, building strength and reaching deep into your flexibility as you challenge yourself in this flowing and powerful practice. This class will help build strength, aid in balance, reduce stress, and increase vitality while connecting movement with breath. Open to all levels! Classes are coed and for ages 16 and older. Yoga mats provided.

College Students and Career Success: Where Do Parents Fit In? (Pre-registration required)

This session will explore the resources of the Office of Career Services and discuss how parents and other family members can support students who are making decisions related to their major, internship options and career opportunities.

Work Experience during College: An Employer Perspective (Pre-registration required)

Work experiences during college are pivotal to career decision-making and employment success after college. This workshop, featuring leaders from EY, General Electric, and JPMorgan Chase, will educate families about work experiences during college, the employment process, the availability of cooperative education and internship experiences, and the importance of being open to new experiences and diverse geographic destinations.

Engaging with Business (Pre-registration required)

The Engaging with Business Program, coordinated by the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Business Administration combines experiential and content-based learning to provide non-business students (prime candidates are rising juniors, students who are juniors in January 2019) with foundational knowledge of business functions and an understanding of how all organizations use these functions to organize, operate, and compete, so that participating students will be better positioned for success in the job market after graduation; this Family Weekend event will provide more details on the January 2019 Engaging with Business Program.

Dayton Art Institute - Family Pass  (No registration required)

Looking for a great off-campus family activity?  Visit the Dayton Art Institute, one of the region's premier fine arts museums.  Passes are free this weekend and one pass is good for 4 people.  UD students have free year-round membership.  Details on their permanent collection and special exhibits are online at http://www.daytonartinstitute.org/.

Piloxing is a continuous class combining the power and strength of boxing, the muscle lengthening and toning of Pilates, and the fun and energizing moves of dance! A family friendly bowling competition! Families of all sizes are encouraged to participate, and the team's average score will be ranked- top 3 teams will win a trophy! Timeslots will be allocated for each family, and the winning teams will be announced at the end of the competition. $4.99 per person.

Football Game: UD vs. Davidson (Pre-registration and prepayment available, day of game tickets available at Welcome Stadium – cash only)

Football tickets ($10 for adults, $5 for youth (18 and under); UD students get in free) are available online at DaytonFlyers.com, over the phone at (937) 229-4433, or in person at the UD Arena ProSource Ticket Office Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. We accept cash, credit/debit, or check for advanced ticket sales. On the day of the game, tickets will be available for purchase at Welcome Stadium. All sales on day of game are cash only.

Statues of Mary Tour (Pre-registration required)

Each memorial tells a story of the past and present of UD.  This tour includes a treasure hunt with a focus on younger siblings.  In the event of inclement weather, the tour will focus on Mary statues and the Mirror of Hope.

Go Greek! Open House (Pre-registration is required)

Family Fun Hunt! UD Miracle Fundraiser (Pre-registration and prepayment required)
4:15 - 5:30 PM  Humanities Plaza
Families will receive a list of hints and locations around campus and will be given an hour to go to each location, play a minute to win it game, and get a stamp showing they were there.  The winning family will receive a gift card to a restaurant on Brown Street!  The hunt will begin in the Humanities Plaza outside the J.P. Humanities building where non-alcoholic drinks and finger-foods will be provided.  The event ends at the RecPlex.

This event is hosted by UD Miracle, a nationally recognized organization that is dedicated to raising money and awareness for Dayton Children's Hospital through Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. $5 per person (max of $20 fee per family [not inclusive of Ticket Fees], i.e. families of 6 will only pay $20)
 
Future Flyers Night Out (Pre-registration and prepayment required)

Campus Recreation is excited to provide Future Flyers, ages 6-12, with an evening of recreational fun to include games, rock climbing, and more.
