2017 Family Weekend SUNDAY Schedule

Pancake Breakfast  (Pre-registration and prepayment required)
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM  Main Meeting Room, VWK
A fundraiser for Distance 4 Dreams, a campus organization that raises funds for A Special Wish Foundation. All proceeds of the breakfast will help make one child's special wish come true!  There will be two seatings (9-11 am and 11 am - 1 pm)  Cost: $5.50 for pre-registered guests or $10 at the door pending space.

RecPlex Open Hours
9:00 AM - Midnight  RecPlex
UD Families have the opportunity to get active free of charge during Family Weekend through use of the RecPlex facility for open recreation! Minors must be accompanied by an adult, waivers must be signed at check-in, must have drivers license present for access.

RecBike Rentals
9:00 AM - Midnight  Equipment Resource Center, RecPlex
Take a ride around the neighborhood or hit the trails with our RecBikes! Must be a member to rent the bikes, however a member can rent more than one at a time. All participants must sign a waiver at the time of check-out. Free to rent and must be back before sundown. All bikes come with a helmet and bike lock.

University Chorale  (No registration is required)

The University Chorale will sing a prelude for the 10 a.m. Mass. Directed by Professor Andrew Hohman.

We celebrate our faith as a Flyer Family. All are welcome to attend and encouraged to participate.

Black Alumni Reunion:  Diversity and Inclusion Brunch featuring University Leadership  (Pre-registration required)
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM  Ballroom, Kennedy Union
Attend a send-off brunch with President Eric Spina, Vice President for Diversity and InclusionLarry Burnley, and Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Multicultural Affairs Patty Alvarez. Come listen to the report from the council constructing an official UD Black Alumni group. Also, University leadership will discuss new initiatives and strategies for diversity, inclusivity and equity across the institution. There will be a short time available for Q&A facilitated by Dr. V. Denise James, Associate Professor of Philosophy; Director of the Women's and Gender Studies Program.

Biz Ready Certificate Program  (Pre-registration required)
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM  Room 310, Kennedy Union
Attendees will learn about the Biz Ready Certificate Program for non-business majors.  All organizations exhibit, at least in part, characteristics of business concerns.  Biz Ready provides the opportunity for non-business students to gain a leg up on competition in their chosen job markets.  Coverage will include Biz Ready Program schedules, costs, application procedures, other details, Q & A.

Looking for a great off-campus family activity?  Visit the Dayton Art Institute, one of the region's premier fine arts museums.  Passes are free this weekend and one pass is good for 4 people.  UD students have free year-round membership.  Details on their permanent collection and special exhibits are online at http://www.daytonartinstitute.org/.
