Our office takes great pride in being a source of student leadership development. We employ, train and develop more than 80 student leaders during the course of an academic year. We have three levels of leadership opportunities and encourage any student interested in enhancing their leadership skills while giving back to new students, their families and the UD community to apply and join our team. The recruitment process begins each fall semester and includes an application and interview. Contact our office for more detailed information.

Recruitment Process

Fall Semester

Our fall recruitment process consists of applications and interviews for Student Coordinators, Blue Crew Counselors and Orientation Leaders. Student Coordinators participate in individual interviews and Blue Crew Counselors and Orientation Leaders participate in a group interview process.

Our spring recruitment process consists of applications and interviews to fill any remaining 2020 Blue Crew Counselor and Orientation Leader positions. Both positions participate in a group interview process.

Recruitment Process

The office of Student Transitions and Family Programs offers two distinct opportunities for graduate students, the Graduate Assistantship and the Graduate Internship.  The graduate assistantship is a year round contracted and paid position that is filled through the Division of Student Developments' Graduate Assistant Interview Conference.  The graduate internship is a non-paid credit based experience that satisfies graduate degree program requirements for Higher Ed and College Student Personnel graduate students. The internships are secured by meeting with the Director of Student Transitions and Family Programs and are offered each semester.
