Smart Factory - Industry 4.0
UDRI is experienced in collecting data with disparate sensors, developing plugins for data collection, monitoring and saving ground truth data to train deep learning algorithms. We can fuse multiple types of neural networks, select the most cost-effective sensors, and fine tune parameters to reach your manufacturing objectives.
UDRI can provide IoT solutions to extract data from any number of devices using various platforms and technologies and send it to a mobile application. Our researchers utilize off-the-shelf and open-source components and a cross-platform framework to develop smart applications for Android and iOS.
UDRI autonomy researchers use open source plug-and-play architectures with proven sensors and connects them to controllers and control systems to solve manufacturing challenges. Our innovative, data-driven approaches lead to transformational solutions.
UDRI researchers employ machine vision (MV) technologies and methods to provide imaging-based automatic inspection and analysis for such applications as automatic inspection, process control, and robot guidance. We develop machine vision algorithms to perform such tasks as feature extraction and image recognition in robotic vision and guidance systems such as automated bin picking in manufacturing.
UDRI is developing Mixed Reality (MR) technology to project digital information onto the real world. We dynamically map synthetic data onto real world environments, enabling visual verification of placement and alignment of objects. This technology has practical application in manufacturing, inspection, construction, training, and a range of other sectors.
