Our brothers' house

Our brothers' house

A house is more than just a home. And the residents of 301 Kiefaber and 312 Stonemill are more than just neighbors. The Marianist brothers who make up the Kiefaber-Stonemill community open their doors and hearts to the students who live around them and become confidants, teachers, mentors and friends. Junior photography major Jayonna Johnson spent fall semester chronicling the many ways the brothers continue to embody the distinctive characteristics of a Marianist education, including formation in faith — in the family spirit.

“It’s just plain joy for me to be with all visitors, but the youth get my attention. I enjoy our conversations at dinner — they are very honest.”

From the neighborhood to campus, the Marianists are a visible presence of the community spirit that is UD.
