Profile

Molly is a UD alum. She earned her BS in Secondary Education from UD in 1995, earning a cum laude diploma. She then taught at Miamisburg High School, including theater and Advanced Placement courses, for a decade, while completing her Master of Arts Degree in English Literature at UD in 2002. While at MHS, Molly directed five plays/musicals. She also served as the district's Secondary Lead Mentor Teacher and National Honor Society Advisor. She is a native Detroiter, but she has come to call Dayton her home after living here for close to fifteen years. She has also worked for Sinclair Community College, The Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Molly has presented at numerous conferences on behalf of the university including the Holmes Partnership Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio and the Midwest Educational Conference in Chicago, Illinois. She is a published author, but her main passion is teaching. Molly's ENG 370 is going to be recognized for its Service Learning: Grant Writing Project, the brainchild of Dr. Elizabeth Wardle. Molly looks forward to a long career at UD. Go Flyers!

Faculty Perspective

I am so happy to join the faculty at UD. It is truly a humbling experience. It was always a goal of mine to teach here, and I feel so blessed that my dream has come true. I love the UD community, my colleagues, and my students. I know that UD is truly my home away from home. I hope to teach here for a long time to come and to continue to contribute to the campus community that has given me so much over the years.
