From investigating cancer tumor growth, DNA mutations or mental health, to earning a scholarship for your physiology work related to marathon training, to working alongside faculty and getting published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, as a health and sport science major, you’ll have countless opportunities to do work you’re passionate about and take the first step at making a difference in people’s lives.

At UD, learning always extends far beyond the classroom. You could gain first-hand experience with national athletic fundraising by working for the Front Row Foundation, stay active on the sidelines during Flyers games as a student trainer or earn a coveted internship at Miami Valley Hospital, Maple Tree Cancer Alliance, the MLB or the NHL. The American Physical Therapy Association named the University of Dayton among the best in the nation at preparing undergraduates for doctor of physical therapy programs. And The Princeton Review ranks us No. 14 “Best Schools for Internships” in the nation.
