    Isidore Support for Students

This page contains Isidore support information for students, along with links to our help documentation.  The Isidore issues that crop up most frequently can be found below.  If you think of something to add to this page, please contact us at elearning@udayton.edu or (937) 229-5039.

General Isidore help documentation can be found at: http://go.udayton.edu/isidorehelp.

Trouble Logging into Isidore (or Password Issues)

If a student is having trouble logging into Isidore, you first need to ask them if they have an official UD account.  If the student has a UD account, then they most likely need to have their password reset.  Isidore uses UD usernames and passwords for authentication.

Occasionally, folks outside of UD are granted access to Isidore sites.  If the student does not have a UD account, then he or she may have been added with a guest account.  The E-Learning Lab needs to handle password resets for Isidore guest accounts.  Please contact the E-Learning Lab at (937) 229-5039 or elearning@udayton.edu for assistance with Isidore guest accounts.

Can't See Their Class or Recently Switched Sections

If a student can't see their class, the first thing to ask is if they've looked under their -More Sites- menu.  If they're enrolled in more than 3 classes, the additional class may be "hidden" under their -More Sites- menu.  View the More Sites Tip

If the class is not listed under -More Sites-, you may want to make sure that they're officially registered for the course.  The student can double check their registration in Porches.  If the student recently registered for the course, or switched sections, they should be added to their new Isidore course and removed from the old course within 1-2 business days.

If they need immediate access to their course, they can contact their instructor to be given access to the course, or you can call or email the E-Learning Lab to have the student added to the course.  The E-Learning Lab will verify that the student is officially registered for the course before they give the student access.

Finally, not every instructor uses Isidore.  It's possible that no Isidore course exists for a particular class.  You can contact the E-Learning Lab to check.

    Tool-Specific Questions

We have help available for different Isidore tools.  If the student has a question about Collaborate Classroom, Gradebook, Forums, Assignments, or Tests & Quizzes, you can refer them to the help pages below.
