Undergraduate Transfer Students

Making an Affordable Move

As you make your transition to the University of Dayton, one of the first things you should know is that we are considered one of the most affordable options among comparable universities and colleges.

As a Catholic, Marianist University, our mission to be transparent means we want to position you for success. Our graduates leave with average student loan debt below the national average, more than 98 percent of our undergraduate students receive some form of financial aid, and 98 percent of the class of 2022 was employed, in graduate school or in a full-time volunteer program within six months of graduation.

Explore this page to learn how UD makes transferring affordable.

Transparency is Key

Our innovative tuition plan provides a transparent view of your yearly costs up front — and there are no hidden fees. That means no surprises, so you can be confident in our costs and plan for success.

What else makes us affordable?

We offer free preliminary credit evaluations, and our Transferology tool enables you to immediately see how your prior credits could transfer to UD.

You’ll be automatically considered for scholarships when you complete our free application, including:

  • A $16,000 scholarship for all full-time transfer students.
  • A $500 per semester textbook scholarship for full-time transfer students.
  • A $5,000 (per year) reentry scholarship for students continuing their undergraduate education after an interruption of five or more years.
