Playing percussion instruments


The Department of Music offers degree programs including Bachelor of Music in music composition, music education, music performance and music therapy, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with ethnomusicology, jazz studies and music studies concentrations. Minors are offered in music and music technology. In addition, a certificate in church music is available.

The University of Dayton is a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music. The music therapy degree is approved by the American Music Therapy Association. The music education degree is licensed by the State of Ohio.

The 2018 Celebration of the Arts is scheduled for Wednesday, Apr. 4, 2018 at the Schuster Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available now at the Schuster box office and will be available starting Tuesday, Feb. 6 at the Kennedy Union box office.
