The World as Classroom

As an SBA student, global learning is an integral part of your education. There are many ways for students to engage with international opportunities, such as:

  • Study Abroad.  The University of Dayton Center for International Programs (CIP) offers several business-specific programs in Europe every summer.  Click here for more information.
  • Participate in an Exchange Program.  The University of Dayton partners with schools all around the world for semester exchange programs, which allow students to spend a semester as a student at the partner school.  Click here for more information.
  • Become a visiting student.  Can't find a school that fits exactly with what you're looking for?  Then find your own! Many foreign universities allow U.S.-based college students to register as a visiting student for a semester.  Just be sure to check with your academic advisor to make sure that the courses you intend to take will transfer back to U.D. when you return.
  • The China Institute.  The University of Dayton China Institute offers semester programs at our campus in Suzhou.  Click here for more information.
  • China Intercession Program.  Offered in January 2016, this intensive two-week course will visit Beijing, Shanghai, and Suzhou.  Click here for more information.
  • Major in it.  The International Business Management major and minor offer business students a way to become an expert in international business through a formal course of study.
  • Work for an exporter.  Working in conjunction with The Ohio State University and the State of Ohio, students in this program take one course at Ohio State and then work for an Ohio-based exporter in a guaranteed summer internship.  See Janet Leonard in the Advising Office for more information.
  • Intern in Hong Kong. Offered in conjuction with our partner, AIIA, students in this program intern for companies in Hong Kong during the Summer term.
  • Intern in Australia. Offered in conjunction with our partner, AIIA, students in this program intern for companies in Sydney, Australia, during the Summer term.

Regardless of how you participate, you'll find a whole world of opportunities and challenges await you.
