Nicky Adams teaches professional and technical writing courses and coordinates the department’s Writing Internship Program. An Education Abroad faculty member with UD's Center for International Programs, she has taught in London, Dublin, and Spain, focusing on cultural differences in workplace communication. Nicky was awarded College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Member of the Year (non-tenure track) for 2015.

Nicky also conducts professional development workshops for UD's Center for Leadership and other corporate and non-profit organizations in Ohio. She began her teaching career at Centerville High School after earning her B.S. in Education from Miami University. She completed her M.A. in English/Organizational Communication at Wright State, where she also directed the University Writing Center for five years. Before joining UD, Nicky was a Workforce Development Account Manager for Sinclair Community College, consulting with area businesses to assess training needs and implement related programs.
