Profile
Arnecia Patterson teaches composition in Writing Seminar I and II, the latter of which is themed around performance as well as Introduction to Creative Writing. She brings to teaching over 20 years of national and international experience as an executive and consultant in arts and culture with a focus on concert dance. Patterson continues to serve as a site consultant, reviewer and panelist for a range of funders and grant makers. She writes about professional dance performance for the Dayton City Paper and is a published poet and fiction writer.
Patterson's dissertation is entitled Equity-Facing Improvement to Classical Dance Training: A Participatory, Self-Reflective Study of Implicit Bias and Its Role in the Ballet Studio.
