Profile

Dr. Eric Morin is Adjunct Instructor of Horn at the University of Dayton and maintains an active performance and teaching calendar in the Cincinnati Tri-State area. He has performed with numerous ensembles, including the Louisville Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic, Richmond (Indiana) Symphony, the Range Ensemble, Oregon Coast Music Association Orchestra, Blue Ash-Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, Kentucky Symphony, Ohio Valley Symphony and the Butler Philharmonic.

As an educator, Dr. Morin maintains a private teaching studio in the greater Cincinnati area, working with junior high, high school and adult horn students. He has also served as an adjudicator for the 14th district Junior High School Honor Band auditions for the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA), and for the Undergraduate Solo Competitions at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

Dr. Morin received his Doctorate of Musical Arts and his Master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor’s of Music from the University of California, Santa Barbara. His primary teachers include Dr. Steven Gross, Randy Gardner, Denise Tryon, Elizabeth Freimuth and Jonas Thoms.

When he is not practicing, teaching or performing, Dr. Morin enjoys cooking and is an avid sports fan.
