Militia of the Immaculate: Who They Are

Militia of the Immaculate: Who They Are

Q: Who are the Militia of the Immaculate?

A: The Militia of the Immaculata (MI) is an international evangelization movement founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe in 1917 that encourages a total consecration to the Immaculate Virgin Mary as means of spiritual renewal for all individuals and society, as well as the Church. The mission of the MI is "to lead every individual with Mary to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus." In 1997 the MI was declared an "International Public Association" by the Pontifical Council for the Laity.
