Emergency Preparation Training

To help prepare you in the event of an emergency, the University has produced a series of training videos of how to respond to different emergency situations, and provide important information about campus emergency response and emergency communications procedures. The videos are divided into four segments for quick and easy viewing as your schedule allows.

Video 1: Campus Emergency Response (9:24)

Video 2: General Life Safety Procedures (13:21)

Video 3: Active Aggressor (17:48)

Video 4: Response & Recovery (5:32)

For questions about this training, or to speak with Public Safety about emergency response and preparedness training, please email pubsafety@udayton.edu.

Active Aggressor

Incidents of violence have elevated safety concerns in the U.S. and on our campus.  Faculty, staff and students should always be aware of their surroundings and immediately report any suspicious persons, activities, vehicles, objects and social media posts that threaten a violent attack. Notify Public Safety immediately at 937-229-2121.

In the event of an active aggressor emergency: RUN, HIDE, FIGHT!

In this FBI training video, customers at a bar are caught in an active shooter event. By employing the run, hide, and fight tactics, as well as knowing the basics of rendering first aid to others, they are prepared, empowered, and able to survive the attack.
