University of Dayton Industrial Assessment Center (UD-IAC)
UD-IAC conducts free assessments for midsized industries. Our reports are independent assessments of your facility’s needs and are not biased by the desire to generate sales or consulting opportunities.
Your assessment will include
- Our team: faculty, professional staff and trained students
- A one-day visit to your facility by our team
- Recommendations for reducing energy, waste and production costs in a personalized report tailored for your facility
Since 1981, the UD-IAC has helped over 900 small and medium-sized industries reduce costs and stay competitive. As a result of our assessments, our clients report saving an average of 10 percent on their energy costs.
National Honor for UD-IAC
The U.S. Department of Energy awarded the University of Dayton's Industrial Assessment Center the 2015 Center of Excellence Award. It's the second time the Center has won the award (2003). The U.S. Department of Energy funds 24 centers nationwide to perform free energy assessments for regional midsized manufacturers. Pictured left to right are UD-IAC alumni Tom Wenning (now at Oak Ridge National Laboratory), Alex Brogan (now at Plug Power), Kelly Kissock (UD-IAC Director), Mark Johnson (Director of the U.S. Department of Energy Advanced Manufacturing Office), Vijay Gopalakrishna (now at Energy Resource Solutions), Jun-ki Choi (UD-IAC Assistant Director).
