Brain Health Collective Announces New Name and 2024 Symposium Date

By Tina Rezash

The Brain Health Collective, formerly the Brain Health Collaboratory, has a new name. The name change reflects the mission to produce community partnerships and interdisciplinary research that contribute to the greater good in the Miami Valley.

"What we want everyone to know is that there is support available to individuals and families who are on a brain health journey. So many times, families feel isolated and overwhelmed with a brain injury or brain health diagnosis. The Brain Health Collective is focused on bringing partners together who can provide support at this critical time," said Susan Davies, Ed.D, NCSP, Director of the Brain Health Collective and Chair of the Department of Counselor Education & Human Services at the University of Dayton.

The Brain Health Collective will host its second annual Brain Health Symposium on March 8, 2024. Topics will include life skills and wellness strategies, transition strategies back to work and community life, as well as social, emotional, and family support. Registration information will be available on the Brain Health Collective website in January.

About the Brain Health Collective: The Brain Health Collective is a partnership between the University of Dayton, The Dayton Foundation, and multiple individuals and organizations dedicated to producing interdisciplinary research and community partnerships that contribute to the greater good surrounding brain health.
