New to the library?
This is a quick reference guide for new users of University of Dayton's Roesch Library. If you are a faculty member, please see our services for faculty. If you are unaffiliated with University of Dayton, please see the information for visitors.
Two weeks into each semester the library is open until 5:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. Use your Flyer Card to access the building between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. For the final two week of the semester the library building is open 24 hours a day.
The library has many different study spaces that can accommodate noise or group study activity. The first and second floors are the designated noisy floors and also feature Tech Tables where a laptop can be connected to a flat screen monitor.
If you prefer private and quiet study space, we have small study rooms on all floors of the library. Study room keys are available for check out using your Flyer Card at the Access Services desk in the lobby.

Roesch Library has open stacks so you can retrieve a book from the shelves on your own. Find the floor, call number and row location using the library catalog. Check out circulating books at the Access Services desk in the lobby using your Flyer Card.
The Blend is a student-run coffee shop on the ground floor of Roesch Library. The Jury Box is a student-run cafe in the ground floor of Keller Hall, next door to Roesch Library. Both shops are open when classes are in session. Vending machines and a microwave are located on the second floor, in the same hallway as the restrooms.
