Theatre, Dance and Performance Technology

Facets Theatre

Facets Theatre (formerly Brighter Connections Theatre) is an inclusive theatre camp for everyone, youth ages 8 through adult, neurotypical or neurodivergent, all are welcome. Please sign up for the camp or multiple camps that are exciting to you. No previous theatre or dance experience is necessary for any of the camps. Each camp is a stand-alone camp, but if you participate in more than one camp, of course, you will be able to build on your skills learned in the previous camp(s).

The camps will be offered by UD Theatre, Dance and Performance Technology faculty and staff, in addition to instructors with expertise in teaching inclusive neurodiverse theatre. Katie O’Leary and Michelle Hayford, the long-time directors of Brighter Connections Theatre, will be offering the Sketch Comedy + Improv camps. Puppet Camps will be offered by UD theatre faculty Jerome Yorke and Chloe Cappuccilli. Theatre Design camp will be offered by UD theatre faculty Chloe Cappuccilli and Rachel Robinson. Inclusive Dance camp will be offered by UD theatre faculty Kisa Li. Technical theatre support will be provided by our Technical Director Eric Moore and UD students will be supporting and facilitating the camp experience, too. The camps and the public performance June 14 will take place in our new Experimental Theatre in the Roger Glass Center for the Arts.
