"Giving Tuesday" at the Boonshoft Museum

Christmas season is upon us, and along with that means heavy shopping time. It all starts with “Black Friday” and moves on to “Small Business Saturday” and “Cyber Monday.” We all know these as the days where there are huge sales to buy Christmas gifts for loved ones. The following Tuesday is known as “Giving Tuesday.” This is a time to think about how fortunate we are, and to give to those who are less fortunate.

Last week on “Giving Tuesday” the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery announced that it is partnering with our very own ECHO Program here at UD to give to those less fortunate families. For every $100 donated to the Boonshoft Museum, they will give a free membership to a family who otherwise could not afford one. Our ECHO program, which works closely with 12 local Catholic schools, is helping Boonshoft find these families who would greatly benefit from a membership. We are very grateful for the continued relationship with the Boonshoft Museum as together we can keep the true meaning of Christmas alive. It is truly a giving season, and with the generosity of the Boonshoft Museum and donors, we can help those who otherwise would not have this opportunity.
