DP&L to recognize University of Dayton as a energy savings champion
The University of Dayton received another $700,000 in DP&L rebates for energy savings on campus, bringing the total to $1.2 million. And to celebrate, DP&L will be presenting President Eric F. Spina with a rebate check and recognizing the University for its continuing sustainability efforts that have resulted in the energy savings at 12:05 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in Kennedy Union Torch Lounge.
Following the presentation until 2 p.m., DP&L will distribute free energy efficient LED light bulbs in exchange for incandescent bulbs (limit 12) plus a bottle of water and an energy bar (while supplies last). That evening, DP&L will present its savings champion trophy to the University of Dayton at the Flyers' men's basketball game against Davidson at UD Arena.
