Harrier Trophy Travels to UD!

Tied for first place, the University of Dayton It Flies! team, Alex Watt and Matt Pulfer, will share the cash prize and Harrier Trophy with Glyndwr University. Using a Merlin flight simulator, their simulation of the Wright Flyer Silver Bird impressed test pilot, Gordon McClymont at It Flies! UK 2015. Congratulations Matt and Alex!

Abigail Spohn Receives SWE Award!

Abigail Spohn, mechanical engineeringThe Society of Women Engineers (SWE) announces that Abigail M. Spohn was selected to receive the SWE Outstanding Collegiate Member award. She will be recognized at the Celebrate SWE! Banquet at the WE15 Conference on Saturday, October 24, 2015, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Spohn, mechanical engineering major, co-oped at UTC Aerospace Systems, was social director for SWE, UD Chapter, and was a River Steward with the UD Fitz Center for Leadership. Her other awards include AIAA's Leatrice Gregory Pendray Scholarship and UD's Mary M. Shay Award for Outstanding Excellence in Academics and Extracurricular Activities for exceptional commitment to academic studies, leadership and campus involvement.
